The sock that disappears. In the best possible way.
- Female-Specific Construction — Contoured to the narrower shape of a woman's foot. No bunching, no sliding, no adjusting mid-run. Just a precise second-skin fit from first mile to last.
- Merino Wool Blend — Technical yarn that naturally regulates temperature, wicks moisture, and fights odour. Cool in summer. Warm on winter morning runs. Fresh after both.
- Targeted Zonal Cushioning — Impact protection at the heel and toe exactly where your foot needs it. Enough cushion to protect. Not so much that your shoe feels tight.
- Anti-Blister Ankle Height — Sits perfectly above the shoe cuff to shield against rubbing, road grit, and trail debris. The detail that makes the difference on longer efforts.
- Stay-Put Arch Compression — Built-in compression wrap holds the sock in place through every stride. No slipping. No bunching inside the shoe.
Description
The Foxy Running Sock
The best running sock is the one you forget you're wearing. The Foxy Running Sock is engineered to earn that invisibility — a women's-specific, Merino-blend running sock built to protect, perform, and disappear so completely that the only thing you're thinking about is the run.
Most running socks are designed for a unisex fit — wider, less contoured, and prone to the bunching and sliding that causes blisters before you've hit your second mile. The Foxy is built differently: contoured specifically to the narrower profile of a woman's foot, with a precise fit that sits flush against your skin rather than gathering in folds inside your shoe.
Available in UK sizes 3–8.
The Merino Blend Not all technical socks are created equal, and the yarn composition is where the Foxy earns its place. The blend of polyester, nylon, Merino wool, and Lycra® spandex is chosen deliberately — each fibre doing a specific job. Polyester and nylon handle moisture-wicking and durability. Merino wool is the ingredient that sets these apart: it naturally regulates temperature (genuinely cool in summer, genuinely warm in winter), fights the bacteria that causes odour, and softens with every wash rather than roughening like synthetic-only blends. Lycra® keeps the sock's shape run after run without bagging at the toe or heel.
The result is a sock that breathes in July heat and insulates on a cold February morning without you having to think about it.
Cushioning Zonal cushioning means padding exactly where your foot takes impact — the heel strike zone and the toe box — without adding bulk across the arch or the top of the foot. Your shoe still fits. Your foot still feels the ground. You just don't feel the ground feeling your foot.
Blister Protection The ankle height is calibrated — not too low (which lets debris in and the sock slip down), not too high (which creates a cuff rub line). It sits precisely above your shoe collar to create a clean seal: grit and trail debris stay out, your heel stays protected, and the top of the sock never folds into the back of your shoe.
Arch Support The built-in compression wrap through the arch isn't decorative. It holds the sock's position on your foot through high-cadence running, preventing the micro-movements that cause friction and, eventually, blisters. On longer runs especially, this is the detail that keeps your feet feeling right at mile 18 as well as mile 1.
The Story Behind The Foxy Sock
Why the Foxy Exists
We made the socks because how could we not?
When we were building the Reset range, our community kept telling us the same thing: great kit from the ankle up means nothing if the sock underneath is letting you down. Blisters from socks that bunch. Cold toes from socks that don't insulate. Socks that slide down inside the shoe by kilometre three. Unisex sizing that never quite fits a woman's foot properly.
And then there was the fox. Our whole brand is built around that spirit — clever, quick, a little bit cheeky, and absolutely not to be underestimated. We needed a sock that wore that identity visibly. Something that looked brilliant peeking out above a trail shoe or a road trainer. Something that said KitFox before you even saw the label.
The Merino blend took us a while to get right. We tested multiple yarn compositions with our community — prioritising temperature regulation and odour resistance because those were the two things runners on longer efforts told us mattered most. The 6% Merino is the hero ingredient: a small percentage that does a disproportionate amount of work.
The Foxy isn't an afterthought. It's the finishing touch that makes the whole kit feel complete.

Size and Fit Notes
Finding Your Size
The Foxy Running Sock is available in UK sizes 3–8.
Fit guide:
- The female-specific construction means these run true to your shoe size — no need to size up as you might with unisex running socks
- The Lycra® content ensures the sock holds its shape and doesn't stretch out with repeat washing and wearing
- If you're exactly between sizes (e.g. a UK 5 in some brands, a 6 in others), the smaller size will give you a more precise, second-skin fit; the larger size a slightly roomier, cushioned feel — both work well
Pairing note:
The Foxy sock is designed to work with both road trainers and trail shoes. The ankle height is calibrated for standard running shoe collars — if you run in shoes with a particularly high or structured collar (some trail shoes), the sock will still sit correctly but the fox detail may be partially obscured. Worth knowing before your first run.
Fabric and Care
Fabric Composition
- 53% Polyester
- 37% Nylon
- 6% Merino Wool
- 4% Lycra® Spandex
The Merino wool content is the ingredient that separates the Foxy from a standard technical running sock — natural temperature regulation, natural odour resistance, and a softness that improves rather than diminishes with washing.
Care Instructions
Machine wash cold at 30°C with similar colours. Air dry only — tumble drying degrades the Merino fibres and Lycra® content over time, shortening the life of the sock significantly. No bleach, no fabric softener.
For best results, wash with Grangers Active Wash or add Dettol Laundry Sanitiser — particularly important for running socks, which take on more sweat contact than any other piece of kit. Standard detergent alone won't fully clear the bacteria that causes odour to build up in Merino blends over time.
Take care of Foxy and she'll take care of your feet.
