Built from super-soft, sweat-wicking compressive fabric with a seam-free front, a secure three-pocket system, and silicone grippers at the hem, the Reset Short solves every frustration female runners told us they'd lived with for years: riding up, falling down, no pocket space, and kit that simply wasn't designed for their body.

Anti-Ride Technology Silicone dot grippers line the interior hem. They create a gentle seal against your skin that keeps the fabric exactly where you placed it, even at high cadence. No bunching. No riding up. No stopping.
Pockets The 3-pocket system is built for how runners actually run. Two deep side drop-in pockets fit an iPhone Pro Max or a 250ml soft flask without stretching or bouncing. The back zip pocket sits at the small of your back — positioned specifically to eliminate the swing that back pockets on cheaper shorts create. Cards, keys, a gel. It holds it all without you noticing.
Fit & Construction The high-rise waistband with looped drawstring gives you a locked-in fit you can adjust before you head out — and forget about once you do. The drawstring loops back into the waistband so it'll never knot up in the wash or work its way loose mid-run. We've removed the front seam entirely: no pressure point, no uncomfortable bunching, no adjusting at the start line.
Inseam 7" (18cm) — chosen specifically for thigh coverage and chafe protection on longer distances. Long enough to protect. Short enough to move freely.
The Story Behind the Reset Short
We built the Reset Short because we couldn't find them elsewhere.
After years of running in shorts that rode up, fell down, or came in sizes that stopped at a 14, we decided enough was enough. We surveyed hundreds of women runners — many of them in their 40s and 50s — and asked them one simple question: what does your ideal running short actually do?
The answers were consistent. Deep pockets that fit a real phone. A waistband that doesn't roll. An inseam long enough to actually prevent chafing. A front that sits smoothly without pulling. And sizing that includes them — not as an afterthought, but by design.
Every feature of the Reset Short came directly from those conversations. The 7" inseam length. The silicone hem grippers. The seam-free front. The back pocket position. The drawstring that locks and stays locked. None of it is arbitrary — all of it came from women who were tired of compromising.
We named it the Reset because that's what a good run does. It clears your head, recalibrates your day, and reminds you what you're capable of. Your kit should help with that. Not get in the way of it.

Fabric Composition
Care Instructions
Machine wash cold at 30°C with similar colours. Skip the tumble dryer — air dry only. No bleach, no fabric softener (it breaks down the stretch fibres over time).
For best results and to keep your kit smelling genuinely fresh, wash with an active sports detergent like Grangers Active Wash or add Dettol Laundry Sanitiser to your cycle. These are worth the investment if you're running regularly — they break down the bacteria that causes odour to build up in performance fabrics over time, which standard detergent alone doesn't fully do.
Look after your Reset Shorts and they'll look after you.

These shorts were a revelation: they come in a flattering navy and don't have a drawstring as they're able to stay up all by themselves. Fiddling with a drawstring at a potty stops during a race is one of my pet peeves so I was super-impressed by this. They also have TWO side pockets - one for my keys and one for my phone - plus a zip pocket at the back for carrying a credit card or cash.
These really are the best shorts I have had. And I have had a lot of high end brands. They don't make my tummy feel uncomfortable,they stay put and don't show sweat marks. Oh,and the pockets are deep and carry all my necessary bits without pulling them down.

I wore my reset running shorts to do the Woolacombe Dunes parkrun which is described as the second hardest parkrun in the UK. The shorts were superb. I had everything I needed in the handy pockets and they did not shift an inch! I would thoroughly recommend these shorts.
The shorts are just the right length for me, and, most importantly, they don't move once they're on. I spend so much running time either pulling my kit up from the waist or pulling the legs back down the thighs, so having shorts that don't roll down or slide up is such a luxury. They also keep me pretty cool. I have run in very warm temperatures in them and not felt overheated. And, last but by no means least, the generous pockets comfortably fit my phone and 250ml soft flask, and I even had a couple of gels stashed in the back pocket in my race this week. I already have two pairs in rotation!

First time trying Fitfox gear after coming across a recommendation on socials. They have not disappointed… love the length, not too long or short & most importantly don’t ride up when running, even on those chunkier thighs, like mine.

I’m loving these shorts from Kitfox. Not only are they super comfy, stay in place, a great length and look good, they also have 3 pockets! This is something that is hard to come by in running kit. Even on short runs I like to take water, keys and my plus size iPhone in a shockproof case. This usually means holding items or wearing a running belt. With these shorts I can fit everything in the pockets (2 large pockets and a smaller zipper pocket on the waistband). Well done Kitfox.

The pockets on the shorts are amazing. Grippers keep the legs in place and the high waist stayed put, the socks are phenomenal, no hot spots or blisters over a trail half

I purchased 2 pairs of these shorts, 1 for me and 1 for my 16 year old daughter and we both love them! My daughter has just started running and loves the colour and style of these shorts, they go beautifully with any colour of running top and make a nice change from the usual black! We both love the pockets and the versatility that they provide, I’m a fan of the deep side pocket for my phone, but it’s great to have the zip up option at the back too. Last but not least - super comfy!

One of my favourite pairs of shorts, have tested them running 9 miles and they did not budge. Pockets on the legs are deep enough for drinks as well and no shaking around in a running belt
